Alright, so now it is the boys turn. Josh and I went to Virginia on a revolutionary war scouting mission. Above is a picture of the reconstructed siege earth works that were put up by the rebel Americans at Yorktown.
Here is Josh below the freedom monument at Yorktown put up in 1881. It celebrates the victory where General Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington in 1781, although fighting went on for another year.
From there it is to the 301- acre Colonial Williamsburg where Josh took this picture of the craftsmanship of the blacksmith that kept his attention for 30 minutes. Also as part of the admission we went thru the Governors Palace, the Capital, Public-Gaol (jail), gunsmith, and a few other buildings including the church which is still in use today. We also went to Jamestown for a short tour.

Whoa! I am jelous...looks like SO much fun! We were just there over the summer. Looks like you had much better weather. Way to go Josh!
OUCH on the ticket brother...not a good introduction to the locals. Ask Steve about his days of driving (WAY) too fast through VA. Hint hint...he was a young, reckless Marine who got more than just a ticket...
Hey, Good for you guys, What a great idea to take the kids on different trips with both of you at different times. They will remember those for the rest of their lives.
Here's a hint for avoiding speeding tickets. Let up on the gas pedal.... It seems to work in all makes of cars.
Looks like a ton of fun! Glad you guys were able to do that, good photos too - cept you cut off the top of the monument in the 2nd photo :)
It was to tall. I had to go back a few hundred feet to feet to get the whole thing in, then you would not be able to read the inscription, or see josh.
Maybe I can get a few tips from the expert my photo-sis.
